FREE COMMUNITY FOOD MARKETS IN SUMMIT COUNTY

Shop Online with Pantrysoft:

New Shoppers – please call the front desk at 970-262-3888 or come into a Food Market during open hours to set up a new account.

Appointment Time Policy – if you are not able to pick up your order during your scheduled appointment time, your order will be reshelved. We are not able to hold orders or fulfill late requests. Shoppers are still welcome to access the grab-n-go lobby, but will need to place a new order and appointment from the system if they miss their scheduled appointment.

No Show Policy – Starting on Tuesday, April 22nd FIRC Community Food Markets will begin enforcing the following No Show Policy.

  1. First No-Show: A warning notice will be issued and recorded.
  2. Second No-Show: A second warning notice will be issued and recorded.
  3. Third No-Show: The account will be suspended for two weeks.
  4. Fourth No-Show: The shopper’s PantrySoft account will be suspended for one month.
  5. Fifth No-Show: The shopper’s PantrySoft account will be suspended until a FIRC staff person meets with you to discuss the situation, identify the underlying issue and reset expectations.

Shoppers who do not pick up their box of food or “No Show” create double work for the Food Market team due to packing and unpacking boxes of food.  Additionally, because there are a limited number of shoppers at the Food Market, placing an order and No Showing prevents other shoppers from using that food appointment and it is wasted. No Showing unintentionally can create food waste as well. We ask that you please edit or modify your order online or call the front desk if you need assistance cancelling your order.

Intake Form Policy -As of October 1, 2024 all shoppers are required to complete an Intake Form that gathers basic contact, demographics and screening information. All data is private and aggregated and used to fund raise to support current Food Market operations.

NO-COST GROCERIES, ZERO BARRIERS, AND FRESH FOOD!

FIRC’s Community Food Markets provide options for fresh, healthy, and nutritious food, while also helping families stretch their budgets, save, and connect. We encourage all residents to visit our Community Food Markets once a week to receive up to $200 worth of groceries.

FIRC’s Community Food Markets address issues related to food insecurity, food equity, food waste, resource sharing, as well as the implementation of broad-scale food systems change in Summit County. Our Community Food Markets offer access to no-cost groceries, household and hygiene items, as well as diapers and wipes. Additionally, we assist with referrals to WIC & SNAP applications for more food resources!

While we try to offer a variety of foods that meet varying dietary restrictions, allergies, or food preferences, we cannot guarantee we will have food items available that meet all special requests.
