FREE COMMUNITY FOOD MARKETS IN SUMMIT COUNTY

Shop Online with Pantrysoft:

New Shoppers: Please call the front desk at 970-262-3888 or come into a Food Market during open hours to set up a new account.

Appointment Time Policy:

If you are unable to pick up your ordered box of food, you must call the FIRC office at 970-262-3888.  Failure to call the office will result in a No Show.  We offer a 30 minute “grace period” to pick up your box.  Arriving after the 30-minute grace period will result in a No Show.  There is no grace period after the last appointment time of the day because the food market closes.

FIRC Food Market “No Show” policy:

  • First No-Show: A warning notice will be issued.
  • Second No-Show: A second warning will be issued.
  • Third No-Show: The account will be suspended for two weeks.
  • Fourth No-Show: The account will be suspended for one month.
  • Fifth No-Show: We will schedule a meeting to discuss the situation and identify the underlying issue.

When orders go unclaimed, it creates twice the work for our team, prevents others from getting the help they need, and leads to food waste. That’s why we kindly ask all shoppers to be thoughtful and follow through when placing an order.

Cancellation Policy: You can cancel your order on Pantry Soft until the day before your appointment.   If on the same day as your appointment you realize you cannot make your scheduled time, you must call the FIRC office at 970-262-3888 to cancel your order.  Failure to cancel your order before your scheduled pick-up time will result in being marked as a No Show.

Intake Form Policy: As of October 1, 2024 all shoppers are required to complete an intake form that gathers basic contact, demographics and screening information. All data is private, aggregated and used to fundraise to support current Food Market operations.

NO-COST GROCERIES, ZERO BARRIERS, AND FRESH FOOD!

FIRC’s Community Food Markets provide options for fresh, healthy, and nutritious food, while also helping families stretch their budgets, save, and connect. We encourage all residents to visit our Community Food Markets once a week to receive up to $225 worth of groceries.

FIRC’s Community Food Markets address issues related to food insecurity, food equity, food waste, resource sharing, as well as the implementation of broad-scale food systems change in Summit County. Our Community Food Markets offer access to no-cost groceries, household and hygiene items, as well as diapers and wipes. Additionally, we assist with referrals to WIC & SNAP applications for more food resources!

While we try to offer a variety of foods that meet varying dietary restrictions, allergies, or food preferences, we cannot guarantee we will have food items available that meet all special requests.
