October Volunteer of the Month: Diann Preston

This month, we are thrilled to celebrate Diann Preston as our Volunteer of the Month!

Diann is a truly sweet and beautiful person with a heart for helping others. Though she joins us seasonally, she makes an incredible impact every time she’s here—volunteering every Monday and Tuesday for up to four hours a day with unwavering dedication.

She knows exactly what needs to be done and often anticipates tasks before we even ask. Our ongoing joke is: “Diann, you’re in charge!”—to which she always replies “no”—but in truth, she steps up with quiet leadership every time.

Diann is our egg-wrapping expert, patiently training new volunteers on how to pack them properly. She also helps receive and organize donations, packs boxes with care, and guides others to do the same. Wherever we need her, Diann is there—reliable, welcoming, patient, and always making sure others feel comfortable and included.

We will miss her presence dearly, but we look forward to welcoming her back next summer. Thank you, Diann, for being such a shining part of our Food Market family!
